Application of tumor M2 pyruvate kinase and cancer antigen 19-9 in pancreatic cancer

Objective To discuss the expression characteristic of tu mo r M2-PK(TuM2-PK) and CA19-9 in pancreatic cancer. Methods The serum TuM2- PK and CA19-9 were measured by ELISA in 50 pancreatic cancer patients, 35 pan creatitis patients and 80 healthy people. Results Serum TuM2-PK and CA19-9 c oncentration of pancreatic cancer patients were ( 164.88± 41.33) U/mL, ( 63 0.1± 200.3) U/mL, A similar sensitivity was observed for TuM2-PK (75% ) a nd CA19-9(74.5% ) in pancreatic cancer. And TuM2-PK showed more specificity (90% ) than CA19-9 (85% ). In combined test, the sensitivity and specificity were 82.3% and 100% . Conclusion In diagnoses of the pancreatic cancer, the combination with TuM2-PK and CA19-9 is to elevate their sensitivity and spe cificity.
