Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and rhizosphere microorganisms play an important role in natural ecosystems and artificial habitats. In general,AM fungi provide benefits to host plant, including better phosphorus nutrition, higher drought tolerance, and increased disease resistance.Rhizosphere microorganisms, including bacteria, actinomyces, fungi, and nematodes, live in rhizosphere habitats that stimulate plant growth or act as root pathogens. However, the relationship between AM fungi and rhizosphere microorganisms is mainly unknown. This review is focused on the responses of rhizospheric microorganisms on AM fungi and their effects on host plants.Based on the complex effects of mixed inoculation of rhizosphere microorganisms and AM fungi, the relationship between rhizosphere microorganisms,AM fungi and their host plants are discussed.
