摘要
This study explores the optimization of free-form surface ophthalmic lens design by integrating 3D-CAD software (Rhino 7) with the genetic algorithm (GA) machine learning technique. Using the dynamic surface drawing capabilities of Grasshopper, a plug-in for Rhino 7, we established a no-code/10w-code approach that simplifies optical design simulations without requiring extensive coding knowledge or experience. The “Sonic” component was used to define refractions on surfaces, and the “Galapagos” GA was applied to derive the optimal shape of a single lens that minimizes spherical aberration. Our methodology demonstrates the potential of combining advanced design tools with GAs to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of free-form surface ophthalmic lens design.
