In this review, we have outlined the key areas for health optimization to prevent pregnancy loss, drawing on the most up-to-date evidence available. The 3 key areas identified are lifestyle optimization in women, lifestyle optimization in men, and therapeutic interventions. The evidence demonstrates that the treatments to consider are first-trimester progesterone administration, levothyroxine in women with subclinical hypothyroidism, and the combination of aspirin and heparin in women with antiphospholipid antibodies.
