The dependence of graphitizing degree of two kinds of petroleum cokes on temperature was studied. The graphitized petroleum cokes were used as negative electrode of lithium ion battery in the 1 mol/L LiCIO_4/EC+DEC (1∶1) solution system. The authors investigated the effect of their graphitizing degrees on charge and discharge performance, and explained the reason why the graphitizing degree influences the performance of carbon anode of lithium battery by means of Raman spectrum.
