The Cu-Cr-Zr alloy column sample was treated by internal oxidation and the properties and microstructures were studied. The results show that an oxidation layer of dispersion of Cr2O3/ZrO2 particles is obtained around the column sample surface by controlling the partial pressure of oxygen for several hours. The grains of internal oxidation area grow gradually from surface to inside. The hardness of internal oxidation area increases gradually from surface to inside, the average hardness of oxidation area is harder than the no-oxidation area. The effect of solution and aging heat treatment on the hardness of internal oxidation layer is negligible. However, the hardness of both internal oxidation area(dispersion-strengthening area)and precipitation strengthening area becomes harder after cold deformation.
