Friedel-Crafts Acylation of Aromatic Compounds with Carboxylic Acids as Acylating Agents

Friedel-Crafts acylation with both aliphatic and aromatic carboxylic acids as acylating agents are reviewed and the characters of different catalysts are emphatically compared.Friedel-Crafts acylation with carboxylic acids as acylating agents and solid acids as catalysts are believed as the trend for the green synthesis of aromatic ketones.
