THE RESOURCE CHARACTERISTICS OF OIL SHALE AND ANALYSIS OF CONDITION OF PROSPECTING AND USING IN MINHE-XINING BASIN,WEST OF CHINA

Prospecting and utilization of oil shale resources,now,have already excited wide attention.The area of Lanzhou and Xining is most impotant economic area in the west of China and contained abundant resources of both oil shale and coal in here(Xining basin and Minhe basin).Investigating result indicates that forecast resources of oil shale amounts to 30×10~-8 t(to convert into shale oil is 1.8×10~-8 t) and identified resource of oil shale amounts to 5×10~-8(to convert into shale oil is 0.3×10~-8 t).Resources of oil shale,mostly,distributed in middle-Jurassic.Oil shale and coal are intergrowths in here.The structures of oil shale diggnings are simple.Antetype basin is inland lake basin among mountains.The oil shale appears black,a little lipin luster,less rigidity,brown mark and its quality is higher.The thickness of oil shale are,commonly,5~30 m,and its oil-bearing ratio is 7%~9%,quantity of heat is 3.64～10.49 MJ/kg.The traffic is advantage in oil shale diggings in the economic area.If exploitation and using of coal and oil shale were fell together,the good effect could be gain.
