The bird surveys were carried out in the Hasuhai wetland,Inner Mongolia,during the period from July 2010 to July 2011.The birds species,quantity and seasonal variation in different seasons were investigated.In this survey,60 bird species in 19 families and 13 orders were recorded totally.A total of more than 70 000 birds.The birds mainly were waders and waterfowl,including wader Charadrliformes and waterfowl species the Anseriformes,Gruiformes these 3 kinds were a lot,accounted for the total number of birds 36.69%,27.74%,15.64%.The Anseriformes of the waterfowl species and the charadriiformes and ciconiiformes of the wader species were most.The number of species was 21,16 and 7,respectively,accounting for 35%,26.65% and 11.67% of waterfowl species.The seasonal variation of these water birds had been carried on.The result shows that the peak of waterbird species and quantity occurred in summer and autumn,and there were some breeding birds in this area in summer.After the water surface was frozen,waterfowl would migrated go away the Hasuhai wetland.Because of the passing migrant birds and migratory birds,the seasonal variation of waterfowl species and quantity was obvious,but the bird species and quantity of annual dynamic was overall similar.
