EXAFS and DFT: Evidence for the [TcO]2+ core

A structure elucidation strategy combining X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) is demonstrated and reveals the existence of the [TcO]2+ moiety.
