The Evaluation Criteria on ICT Enterprises Innovation Capability-Evidence from Zhejiang Province

ICT Technology industry is the pillar of regional high-tech industries; its innovative capability will not only directly affect the development of high-tech industry itself, but also will indirectly lead to the upgrading and development of the other industries. Thus the research on ICT enterprise innovation is very important. This paper starts with setting the evaluation factor indexes for the high-tech enterprises innovative capability, then applies them to the high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang Province in 1722 sample data from 2005, and analyses the factors affecting the innovative capabilities using the method of principal component analysis. Also by screening on the total sample of 378 ICT enterprises for further analysis, we compare the causes for the differences between ICT enterprises and the entire sample of high-tech enterprises; eventually, some useful inspirations are revealed.
