Study on Preparation of Polyacrylic Acid Sodium

Polyacrylic acid sodium(PAANa) was prepared by using ammonium persulfate-sodium sulfite (APS-SHS) as redox initiator in water. The results shows that the molecular weight of polyacrylic acid sodium is affected seriously by the monomer concentration, reaction temperature,and reaction time, and polyacrylic acid sodium with relative low molecular weight can be gained by controlling these reaction conditions.
