An Analysis of Collocation Errors in English Writing

The collocation system of English is a complicated but important phenomenon e it her from the perspective of linguistics or that of teaching methodology.Via a tentative analysis on lexical collocation errors of Chinese Learners,this paper,on the basis of CLEC,finds out a marked distinction among Chinese students when they are learning lexical collocation.The collocation errors decrease with the improvement of English if they are under the similar circumstance.In the end,the author,based on these findings,attempts to propose some tentative suggestions on how to prevent the collocation errors in order to provide some hints for teaching methodology of English writing.
