Magnetostriction at the Nuclear-Ordering Transition of PrCu6

We have observed magnetostriction in the vicinity of the magnetic phase ordering temperature of 2.5 mK as the sample is demagnetized. The sample lengthens as the field is reduced from 200 to 4 mT such that Δℓ/ℓ∼3×10 -8 .
