Determination of indapamide by RP-HPLC

A new RP-HPLC method for the determination of indapamide was established.A Kromasil C18 column was used with the mobile phase composed of water-acetonitrile-methanol-glacial acetic acid(at a ratio of 65∶17.5∶17.5∶0.1).The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the detection wavelength was 240 nm.The calibration curve of indapamide was linear in a concentration range of 52.0～260.0 μg/mL(r=0.999 4)and the average recovery(RSD) was 0.14%(n=6).This method was simple,accurate,sensitive and reproducible,and could be used for quality control of indapamide tablet.
