Risk assessment in the Machine Directive and European harmonized European standards

Various machines present different types of hazards and risks to operator and/or all other persons who came in contact with it. Risk assessment is a systematic means of quantifying these risks level in order to determine the scope of required safety system needed to protect personnel from possible injury. European Union through introduction New and Global approach to the technical harmonization and standardization achieved breakthrough on the way that are safety requirements integrated in the design process. In connection with it in this paper are presented risk assessment which is based on European harmonized standards type A.
