摘要
ABSTRACT Cement based materials are widely used in modern construction engineering, and improving the performance of cement concrete to extend its service life is an important issue. Acrylate emulsion/resin, as a kind of material with excellent performance and low price, can be mixed into the cement matrix or coated on the surface to resist external invasion. The application and research progress of acrylate emulsion/resin in recent years are reviewed in this paper. First, the synthetic methods of acrylate emulsion are introduced. Secondly, the factors affecting the durability of cement, including hydrophobicity, UV resistance, corrosion resistance, and freeze‐thaw resistance and how to solve the problems by using acrylate emulsion are also summarized. Thirdly, the strength changes of cement modified by acrylate emulsion/resin are analyzed, including compressive strength, flexural strength, and tensile strength. Finally, future research directions are discussed with the aim of providing cement‐based materials that are practical, efficient, environmentally friendly, and capable of long‐term service.
