Recent Developments of Materials in Natural Polymers

This paper reviewed the developments of materials in natural polymers in recent years. Natural polymers, such as cellulose, lignin, starch, chitin, chitosan, other polysaccharides, protein and natural rubber, were modified by chemical or physical methods and nanotechnology to prepare biodegradable eco-friendly materials with various functions, and a number of potential applications for these novel materials were introduced.
