摘要
We report a highly efficient system for CO2 capture and conversion to a “green” solid carbonate that utilizes solid NaOH. This novel technology has important advantages over the currently available technologies regarding percent of CO2 capture, heat production, and carbonate yields. The study uses a techno-economic analysis as a quantitative tool in the valuation of CO2 capture for an environmental and economic gains objective. We highlight two important advantages of this technology that go hand in hand with a sustainable development: low economic cost and negative energy and carbon footprint.
