Influence of season on ecodistribution tsetse, Tabanids, stable flies the Bai of Momba Makokou, Gabon

In order to promote the ecotourism of Momba Bay, the seasonal dynamics of tsetse, tabanid and stomox were evaluated. Ten Vavoua traps were used for 7 consecutive days, a trapping effort of 70 traps-j. A total of 2641 stomoxes (57%), 1680 tsetse flies (36%) and 325 tabanids (7%) were captured during the rainy season and the dry season. The highest density was obtained with tsetse flies irrespective of the season, ie DAP = 5.91 tsetse flies / trap / day in the rainy season and DAP = 6.09 tsetse fly / trap / day in the dry season. The Shannon index showed that the highest species diversity in tsetse was observed in the dry season (0.58) and the lowest in the rainy season (0.48). Tabanids have a DAP of 2.02 tabanids / trap / d and a DAP of 0.3 tabanid / trap / day respectively in the rainy season and in the dry season. The Shannon index is 0.69 in the rainy season and 0.68 in the dry season. While stomoxes have a DAP of 18.69 stomoxes / trap / d in the rainy season and a DAP of 0.18 stomox / trap / d in the dry season. The Shannon index of these species is 0.4 in the rainy season and 0.23 in the dry season.
