摘要
A novel uniplanar electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure incorporated with spiral-shaped capacitor and meandered line inductor (SC-ML-EBG) is presented. This novel structure significantly enlarges the fringe capacitance in a spiral shape to reduced-sized cells, as well as increases the equivalent inductance to widen the relative bandwidth. Its design details are given and several experimental results are presented; the improved properties of the proposed SC-ML-EBG are examined, in comparison with the conventional UC-EBG and one novel EBG incorporated only a with spiral-shaped capacitor (SC-EBG).
