In order to optimize the extrusion die structure of TA2 tube,a finite element model of hot extrusion has been created in the text,with which the extrusion processes have been simulated under the following circumstances:when flat die length is 7%D,9%D and 11%D,die angle is 55°,60°,65°,70°,extrusion temperature is 600℃,650℃,700℃,and punch speed is 50mm/s,100mm/s,150mm/s.From the simulation results,the influence of various parameters on metal flow and extrusion force can be clearly seen. According to the minimum top crop ratio,extrusion excess stocks ratio and extrusion force coefficient rule,the structure of die has been optimal when flat die length is 9%D and die angle 60°.
