Short Review on Optofluidics as the Experimental Junction between Microfluidics and Optics

Abstract Among the present research-fields of fluid mechanics, optofluidics is one emerging topic towards the industrial applications. Appropriate experimental advancement of microfluidics is required to be integrated with optical components for the production of optofluidic devices and systems. In this particular review work, the theoretical and experimental research-work performed on surface-driven microfluidic flow is briefly mentioned. Also, the recent advancement of research on optofluidics is briefly mentioned. This review work may be suitable to develop the optofluidic devices and systems in future.
