Research progress on proteomics of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Proteomics has been applied to the study of interstitial lung disease for over 20 years. The expression of multiple proteins in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is different from that in healthy population.It might be related to the occurrence and development of IPF.The proteins might be used as new biomarkers for diagnosis and monitoring of IPF.This paper reviews the progress on proteomics study of IPF.
