Chun Wang on oncology in China

Professor Chun Wang obtained his medical degree at Wannan Medical College, Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. He went on to do postgraduate training at Shanxi Medical University and then Tongji Medical University, where he was awarded a MSc and a PhD, respectively. In 1986, he joined the Department of Internal Medicine and Hematology at the Second Teaching Hospital of Shanxi Medical University. During this period, his research interests included ultrastructure of haemopoietic cells, effects of haemopoietic growth factors on the growth of acute myelocytic leukaemia cells in vitro, and autologous and allogeneic bone-marrow transplantation in leukaemia.
