Unveiling the oxygen adsorption potential of ZIFs: investigating the impact of organic ligands, metal centres, and synthesis methods

Mono- and bimetallic ZIFs for oxygen capacity, selectivity, and cyclability as a function of organic ligand, metal centre, and synthesis method are mapped. Partial Co substitution in ZIF-8 maximises capacity, Fe-rich ZIF-8 prioritises selectivity, and ultrasonication enhances cycling stability.
