Structural Equation Modeling: Checking Substantive Plausibility

Abstract The process of construct validation involves a series of three steps, namely, concept definition, concept operationalization, and empirical confirmation. These steps lead to specifying and confirming a nomological network for the construct to be validated. Structural equation modeling efficiently confirms the substantive plausibility of the nomological network.
