Systematic review with meta‐analysis: the effects of rifaximin in hepatic encephalopathy

Rifaximin has a beneficial effect on hepatic encephalopathy and may reduce mortality. The combined evidence suggests that rifaximin may be considered in the evidence-based management of hepatic encephalopathy.
