A novel pressure induced flow moulding at low temperature was applied to the moulding of PA66, in which the bulk PA66 was processed by means of traditional melt processing. By the pressure induced flow moulding, the PA66 was pressure induced to flow like 'melt'. The effects of temperature, pressure and packing time of the pressure induced flow moulding on the mechanical properties and structure of PA66 were studied, and the morphological structure of the moulded PA66 was characterized by means of SEM, DSC and XRD. The results showed the pressure induced flow moulding made PA66 form special 'samdwich’ microstructures, which improved the mechanical properties of PA66, being an easy and feasible technology for the processing of PA66.
