Dry-gel direct conversion to silico-aluminophosphate zeotype with LTA structure was presented, in which 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium and tetramethylammonium were used as co-template. Compared with previously reported hydrothermal and ionothermal synthesis, this new approach combined multiple advantages, including low autogenous pressure, low ionic liquid usage and high product yield etc. The obtained product presented excellent structural stability with high BET area and hierarchical porosity. Silicoaluminophosphate zeotype with LTA structure was synthesized by dry-gel direct conversion route using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium and tetramethylammonium cations as co-template. This new approach presents the advantages, such as low autogenous pressure, low ionic liquid usage, high product yield etc., and affords a greener method as compared with the traditional hydrothermal and ionotherml synthesis.
