Development of the 30 kW proton-exchange membrane fuel cell stack with high power density

The 30 kW protonexchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stack with high power density was successfully developed. The RD work includes four parts:(1)the construction of PEMFC working station for testing and improving the performance of single PEMFC or PEMFC stacks with power capacity ranged from 01 kW to 50 kW;(2) the engineering design of PEMFC stack with high power density; (3) assembling single PEMFCs and establishing the technologies for testing and improving the membrane electrode assemble (MEA);(4) assembling a 30 kW PEMFC stack with the power density and specific power of 720 W/L and 708 W/kg respectively and establishing the technology to test and improve the performance of PEMFC stack.
