Self-identity is an important concept of E.H.Erikson theory.Self-i dentity is the inevitable process of college students looking for self-developi ng,self-understanding and self-pursuing.The article thinks that the unbalanc e physical and psychological development,and collision between traditional and m odern culture are the major course for contemporary college students' self-iden tity confusion.It should integrate self-identity from the following three dimensions: subjective self and objective self and ideal self and real self(one dimension);Self-recognition and self-experience and self-control(one dimension);self in the material world,self in the society and self in the spiritual world(one dimension),to cuctivate the personality of college student s.
