Air-stable isosorbide dimethyl ether is introduced into the aqueous electrolyte, which restructures Zn 2+ solvation, suppresses hydrogen evolution, enables uniform Zn deposition, and enhances I 3 − /I − redox mediation, boosting capacity retention.
