Study on Suppression for 10 kV Power Network Harmonics and Harmonics Remover

The purpose to remove and restrain harmonics is to raise power quality of power system, reducing harms of power equipment. Introduction was made to the causes and harms of harmonics generation in power network system. The method to install 1st and 2nd harmon- ics removers was analyzed to restrain harmonics. Description for its function and economic eff iciency were made. Practices prove that these methods have obvious effects on harmonics restraining, especially in 3rd harmonics.
