Inhibition growth and survivin expression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell CNE-1 induced by EGCG

Objective To study the inhibition growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line CNE-1 and the molecular mechanisms induced by(-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate(EGCG).Methods The growth inhibition ratio of CNE-1 cell line was observed at different time points treated with different concentrations of EGCG by MTT,the survivin mRNA was measured with RT-PCR.Results After treated with EGCG,The CNE-1 cell's growth inhibition rate were increased,while the expression of survivin mRNA were reduced with dose and time dependent.Conclusions EGCG can significant inhibited nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line CNE-1's growth,its mechanism is down regulation the expression of survivin mRNA.
