Automatic Control System for Continuous Casting Tundish Fast-change

Low service life of tundish will affect the increasing of heats of continuous casting. This difficult problem has been solved by application of the fast-change of tundish technology and more over the productivity of the con- tinuous casting has been greatly raised. This paper briefly introduces the automatic control system for three strands bloom/beam blank continuous caster at the Third Steelmaking Plant,Ma’anshan Iron and Steel Co Ltd. On the basis of this,the realization of continuous casting tundish fast-change automatic control system is developed.
