【Objective】The objective of the study is to reveal the genetic characteristics of banana at the chromosomal germplasm level,based on the different evolutionary levels in different genome types.【Method】Using 9 different genome types of banana germplasm as material,to analyze their chromosome features with the method of wall degradation hypotonic.【Result】The result showed that the karyotype formula of Bawangling wild banana was 2n=2x=22=4L+8M2+6M1+4S,belonging to 2A karyotype;the karyotype formula of Baihualing wild banana was 2n=2x=22=4L+8M2+6M1+4S,belonging to 2B karyotype;the karyotype formula of Brazil banana was 2n=3x=33=3L+15M2+12M1+3S,belonging to 3A karyotype;the karyotype formula of Pisang Ceyla was 2n=3x=33=12L+6M2+6M1+9S,belonging to 2B karyotype;the karyotype formula of the plantation in Dongguan was 2n=3x=33=3L+12M2+12M1+6S,belonging to 2B karyotype;the karyotype formula of FHIA-17 was 2n=4x=44=4L+20M2+12M1+8S,belonging to 2B karyotype;the karyotype formula of CRBP-39 was 2n =4x =44 =4L +16M2 +20M1 +4S,belonging to 1B karyotype;the karyotype formula of FHIA-03 was 2n =4x =44 =4L +20M2 +16M1 +4S,belonging to 2B karyotype;the karyotype formula of TMBx5295-1 was 2n=4x=44=4L+20M2+12M1+8S,belonging to 2B karyotype.【Conclusion】Based on the analysis of karyotype,9 pattern diagrams of karyotypes of different genotypes banana germplasm were drawn.
