Chemical Constituents of the Rroots of Millettia speciosa

Seven compounds were isolated from the EtOAc soluble extract of the roots of Millettia speciosa Champ.The structures of these compounds were identified by physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic data and the constituents were: 2',4,4'-trihydroxychalcone(1),pterocapin(2),3',7-dihydroxy-2',4'-dimeth-oxyisoflavone(3),(-)-maackiain(4),stigmasterol(5),β-sitosterol(6),daucosterol(7).Compound 2 and compound 3 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
