Effect of Qingyi Decoction on Changes of IL-8 and IL-10 in Rat Serum with Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Objective:To evaluate the effect of Qingyi decoction on the changes of IL-8 and IL-10 in rat serum with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:60 Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group(Sham operation group),model group(SAP group)and Therapeutic group(Qingyi decoction group).There were 20 rats in each group.Qingyi decoction was administered orally 30 minutes before model induction,12 hours and 24 hours after model induction.Amy,IL-8 and IL-10 in serum and pancreas tissue were determined and the pathological study was performed as well.Results:The levels of IL-8 and IL-10 in serum SAP and Qingyi decoction group were significantly higher than those in normal control group.The levels of Amy,IL-8 and IL-10 in Qingyi decoction group were significantly lower in SAP group.In Qingyi decoction group pancreas injury was markedly reduced.Conclusion:The results suggest IL-8 and IL-10 play an important role in severe acute pancreatitis.Qingyi decoction probably has protective effects on IL-8 and IL-10 pathways.
