摘要
This article offers a glimpse into the future of molecular spectroscopy, provided by a practitioner of 60 + years. Considering the current status of molecular spectroscopy, advances in the near-future could include the use of bio-harmonic resonances to diagnose/treat psychosomatic disorders or the development of prosthetic sensors. Contemplating about the far future is much more difficult, but also more exiting as it must take into consideration the emergence of a new physics paradigm. The challenge is to find a link between our familiar electromagnetic radiation and other forces or fields like the gravitational waves or the Hawking radiation emanating from evaporating black holes, not to mention the still enigmatic dark energy and dark matter. The purpose of this article is to embolden young spectroscopists to think out-of-the box.
