Some latest research progresses in adsorption of nitrosamines by use of zeolites and mesoporous molecular sieves are reviewed. The selective adsorption of nitrosamines on zeolite, especially the inserting adsorption model of bulky nitrosamines on those zeolites with small pore size in which the N-NO groups insert into the zeolite channels, is introduced. The in situ modification of mesoporous molecular sieves with metal oxides such as copper oxide are introduced, which significantly promotes the selectively adsorption of volatile nitrosamines. Finally, the development of new functional materials to eliminate the pollution of nitrosamines is prospected.
