Visual assessment of effectiveness of ultrasound probe hygiene using ultraviolet fluorescent powder: a pilot study

When performing single-shot peripheral nerve blocks, the informed consent process includes discussion of the risk of infection. When performed with ultrasound, little data exist to guide on added contamination risk, and consequently there is variation among providers regarding infection precautions
