摘要
To meet the demand of miniaturized distributed solar energy supply and overcome the problem of solar discontinuity, this study innovatively combines mid-temperature molten salt energy storage system with solar thermal photovoltaic system and proposes a novel concept of molten salt energy storage-solar thermophotovoltaic integrated system. Based on the mid-temperature characteristics of the molten salt energy storage system, a tunable metamaterial structure is designed. By adjusting the geometric parameters of the structure, a near perfect absorber and a selective emitter are obtained to realize the spectrum reshaping for the integrated system. The average solar radiation absorbance of the absorber reaches 0.9556 and the selective emitter can help realize a TPV efficiency of 29.37%. The reliability and the radiation regulation mechanism of the structure is analyzed combining effective impedance and partial absorbance contribution analysis. On this basis, the performance of the integrated system is evaluated and the influence of operating temperature, concentration coefficient and PV cell type are explored. With the spectrum reshaping effect of the metamaterial structure, a high system efficiency of 27.90% can be obtained. • A novel molten salt energy storage-solar thermophotovoltaic integrated system was proposed. • A tunable metamaterial structure was designed to realize the spectrum reshaping. • By adjusting the geometric parameters, a near perfect absorber and a selective emitter can both be obtained. • The average absorptance of the absorber reaches 0.9556 and the selective emitter can help realize a TPV efficiency of 29.37%. • The integrated system efficiency reaches 27.90% at 500 suns.
