Easy Preparation of α‐Sulfonyl Ethers from Acetals and Sulfinic Acids as Ambident Partners Depending on the reaction conditions, acetals 1 react with sulfinic acids 2 (or their sodium salts) in the presence of BF3‐ether to yield either sulfinic acid esters 3 or α‐sulfonyl ethers 4 in good yields.
