Platinum( ii ) complexes bearing functionalized NHC-based pincer ligands: synthesis and application in phosphorescent OLEDs

[Pt(C Et *^C CN ^C Et *)L] (L = Cl, Cbz,CN) complexes exhibit a bright blue, green or orange PL. OLED colour can be tuned from bluish-green to orange by increasing the thickness of the EML, with an EQE max of 8.08% and an L max of 34 071 cd m −2 (L = CN).
