摘要
This paper designs a metasurface configuration combining a metal–dielectric metasurface with a polarization filtering grating to obtain high efficiency of electromagnetic (EM) manipulation with ease of fabrication. The metasurface leverages the polarization conversion capabilities of the C-shaped split-ring resonator (CSRR), coupled with the Fabry–Perot effect induced by the polarization filtering grating, achieving a remarkable polarization conversion efficiency exceeding 86.4%. The structure retains a transmission-mode configuration, facilitating its integration into various applications. To validate the concept, we designed and simulated polarization, focusing, and holographic devices. Compared to conventional metasurfaces, the proposed polarization-filtering-based terahertz metasurface devices exhibit enhanced efficiency. This research offers a practical solution to improve the efficiency and performance of metasurface wavefront modulation devices, paving the way for their integration into advanced applications.
