There are variety types of shell seafood such as crab, cockles and clams sold in Malaysia seafood stalls. The shell seafood cleanliness is the important aspects with regards to providing a safe to consume and high quality food to customer. Most of the seafood stall did not have proper cleaning system of shell seafood if compared with high-standard restaurant. Improper clean shell seafood will lead to contaminated food. Thus, this project required to develop a small scale shell seafood cleaning devices for cleaning shell seafood. Design concepts are generated based on customer requirements. Concept selection method is used to finalise design concepts and turned into technical drawing by using Solidwork 2014. Mechanical analysis and Finite Element Analysis are applied to certify the design ability. Prototype is fabricated using 3D printing method and used to test by using shell seafood. Result from the actual product testing shows that an amount of dirt and unwanted particles are able to be removed from raw seafood.
