【Objective】To obtain a local entomopathogenic nematodes and their symbiotic bacteria, determine their species and taxonomic status, provide new options and lay the foundation of using our region's entomopathogenic nematodes to control pests in future. 【Method】Using Tenebrio molitor larve to induce entomopathogenic nematodes, adopting the method of whitetrap to collect infective juveniles. Symbiotic bacteria isolated directly through infective juveniles or the blood chamber of Tenebrio molitor larve which were infected by entomopathogenic nematodes, using 18 S rRNA and morphological to identify the species of nematodes initially,16 S rRNA and morphological to identify the species of symbiotic bacteria initially;【Result】One kind of entomopathogenic nematodes was isolated from forest soils in Nileke,Xinjiang which could kill Tenebrio molitorlarve effectively. It belonged to Heterorhabditis nematodes after a preliminary identification of genus, and named as Heterorhabditis bacteriophora strain Nileke initially. While its symbiotic bacteria were isolated and identified as Photorhabdus luminescens, but no fluorescence; 【Conclusion】The entomopathogenic nematodes and its symbiotic bacteria were the first time successfully separated in Xinjiang and its species were initially identified, which might offer new options and ways to control pests in the future by entomopathogenic nematodes isolated from Xinjiang and which also established a good foundation to isolate entomapathogenic nematodes in more places in Xinjiang in the near future.
