摘要
Infectious diseases cause many deaths every year. Many of the infectious disease diagnostic equipment in use today requires well-timed laboratory environment and teaching staff. Therefore, the need for an attractive and consistent point-of-care (POC) is growing exponentially, with moderation, compactness, attractiveness, specificity, practicality and ease of use being paramount. Highly adaptable biomedical sensors might able to make this possible to detect infections in their natural condition, dramatically expanding the possibilities for life-saving identification and mediation. Silicon nanowire (SiNW) biosensors identify organic particles as highly sensitive, unmarked, electrical devices. Sensors based on SiNW have attracted particular attention for their ability to sensitively detect biological and chemical species combined with their manufacturing technology using advanced production technologies. It has been demonstrated that SiNW is an ultrasensitive and selective sensor for direct and unlabeled detection of metal ions, protein DNA interactions, nucleic acids, proteins, interactions with small protein molecules, cells, and infectious diseases.
