The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is transforming the logic of factor allocation within labour-intensive service industries. It is crucial to analyse the dual effects of this transformation, particularly regarding the risks of structural unemployment during periods of technological change and the mismatch between talent supply and demand. Research indicates that capital-biased technological progress leads to labour-market stratification, resulting in fewer entry-level positions and a shortage of digital talent. To mitigate the growing pains of this transition, it is necessary to establish a human capital upgrading pathway aligned with intelligent development, using a reshaped training system to refine safeguard mechanisms for regulating distribution and guiding the labour force towards high-value-added sectors, thereby achieving a dynamic balance and synergistic optimisation of the employment structure.
